1.18.2 modded forge server not working

Hi,
I wanted to set up a new 1.18.2 server with some mods. I was following the old path: installed forge.jar; installed server.jar; agreed eula and changed server.properties.

But when I ran the forge file it didn't create a mods folder, so I created it myself but that couldn't work either.

I tried to run a pregenerated world but the process just ignored or skipped the elements that were loaded by the mods.

However, the server is online, I just can't join with my modded client: "Incomplete set of tags recieved from server". (The mods are the same I checked it twice.)

Lastly, I downloaded a premade server modpack folder - because it had a mods folder - and replaced the config files, mods, etc. but nothing changed. Log: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SXpZtmJjbu6Zou8HMjf_zvo7FigZOtpf/view?usp=sharing

I would be grateful if anyone could help me.

  • kaben015 changed the title to 1.18.2 modded forge server not working

The title says 1.18.2, but all the logs say 1.16.5?

I think you installed the wrong version of forge. 🙂

Boilerplate:

If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one.

If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install

Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com  You should also read the support forum sticky post.
