PoysonCyanide Posted August 22, 2022 Posted August 22, 2022 This 8x texture pack: https://texture-packs.com/resourcepack/f8thful/ only displays varying shades of checkered boxes but when testing what was causing the issue I found that no mods are causing it like I initially thought. The texture pack works completely fine in vanilla Minecraft without anything installed. Only when I use Forge does it break. Image of error: https://imgur.com/a/XDX5IKw Quote
Luis_ST Posted August 22, 2022 Posted August 22, 2022 Please post debug.log from the logs folder. Quote
PoysonCyanide Posted August 23, 2022 Author Posted August 23, 2022 I would post the debug log but it's too big to just paste it into a comment. I tried and got a page error after several minutes of waiting for the text to load. And upon trying to put it on pastebin it didnt allow me to and said "You have exceeded the maximum size of 512 kilobytes per Paste" After searching the debug.log myself however I noticed there are 1144 instances of "Caused by: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Invalid texture size: 0x0" so I'm guessing something is having issue with reading the texture packs files? IDK if Forge does that but like I mentioned the texture pack works perfectly fine in vanilla Minecraft. Quote

warjort Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 (edited) I think this is this issue: https://github.com/MinecraftForge/MinecraftForge/pull/8622 It was fixed in forge 40.1.24: https://maven.minecraftforge.net/net/minecraftforge/forge/1.18.2-40.1.73/forge-1.18.2-40.1.73-changelog.txt Quote - 40.1.24 Add missing patches for not lowering mipmap level for small textures (#8622) Edited August 23, 2022 by warjort Quote Boilerplate: If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one. If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com You should also read the support forum sticky post.
PoysonCyanide Posted August 23, 2022 Author Posted August 23, 2022 I got it working on that version, thank you. Unfortunately now I'll have to keep installing Forge versions to switch between the version you mentioned when I want to use the texture pack and a different version I need for Minecolonies. Quote
Luis_ST Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 The texture pack should still work, you can ignore the in game warning about an incompatible pack format. Quote
