Posted May 4, 20232 yr Ok, I seem to be at the end of my wits this error about my dimension. When I go to try creating a world, Minecraft throws a data pack error complaining (AFAIK) about my dimension not being properly registered. Log of the last launch: https://gitlab.com/-/snippets/2537039 Dimension JSONs: https://gitlab.com/NoahJelen/paradisemod/-/tree/1.18.2/src/main/resources/data/paradisemod/dimension Dimension type JSONs: https://gitlab.com/NoahJelen/paradisemod/-/tree/1.18.2/src/main/resources/data/paradisemod/dimension_type Noise Settings JSONs: https://gitlab.com/NoahJelen/paradisemod/-/tree/1.18.2/src/main/resources/data/paradisemod/worldgen/noise_setings Biome source class: https://gitlab.com/NoahJelen/paradisemod/-/blob/1.18.2/src/main/java/net/paradisemod/world/biome/PMBiomeSource.java Main dimensions class: https://gitlab.com/NoahJelen/paradisemod/-/blob/1.18.2/src/main/java/net/paradisemod/world/dimension/PMDimensions.java The noise settings were created with this data pack generator: https://misode.github.io/ Edited May 8, 20232 yr by NetherNoah777
May 4, 20232 yr I changed your deep_dark dimension to this: Quote { "type": "paradisemod:deep_dark", "forge:use_server_seed": true, "generator": { "type": "minecraft:noise", "settings": "paradisemod:dd_noise", "biome_source": { "type": "minecraft:the_end" } } } And it stopped complaining about that dimension and started complaining about the others, so it looks like there is some issue with your custom biome source. Minecraft instead of giving the real error is saying your dimension is not registered, maybe because it failed to deserialize it using the codec? You will probably have to use a debugger to see what is really wrong with it. Boilerplate: If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one. If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com You should also read the support forum sticky post.
May 4, 20232 yr Author Thank you so much for you help! It looks like my biome source is the offender after all.
May 8, 20232 yr Author Ok, I think I finally fixed my problem! It seems like both my biome source and noise settings were causing issues. I was able to fix the biome source issue with the debugger and I ended up hard coding my noise settings.
