Posted August 16, 201213 yr Hello, modding newbie here So I'm having an issue with setting up my Forge/MCP workspace. I set eclipse's workspace at ~/eclipse, but the IDE will not recognize the source code as a project. In other words, the package explorer is blank, and I was wondering what steps I should take to import the decompiled source code. Here's how I set it up: - I downloaded and extracted mcp72pre for minecraft 1.3.2 pre. - I downloaded and extracted forge build #188, also compatible with 1.3.2pre - I copied a fresh .minecraft/bin folder into ~/mcp72pre/jars - Likewise for the server. Both the server and client are 1.3.2pre that was released this tuesday - I ran the ~/mcp72pre/forge/install.cmd script, which ran fine with no errors OS: Windows 7, 64 bit Java: 1.7, 64 bit Eclipse version: Juno, or whatever the newest version is
August 16, 201213 yr The eclipse workspace is in <MCP folder>/eclipse. So, what would happen if I did push that shiny red button over there? ... Really? ... Can I try it? ... Damn.
August 16, 201213 yr Yeah, that's what I'm using. And it doesnt see any source files? Have you tried refreshing it? And 1.3.2 is a prerelease? So, what would happen if I did push that shiny red button over there? ... Really? ... Can I try it? ... Damn.
August 16, 201213 yr Author Yeah, yup, and yes. Tried moving the .project and .classpath files up a directory from mcp/eclipse/Minecraft and I tried setting the workspace to mcp/eclipse/Minecraft too. But yes, I use C:\Users\Me\Desktop\mcdev\mcp72pre\eclipse as my workspace. Come to think of it, I also recently installed eclipse's git plugins right around when I moved to forge, could that cause issues in any way?
August 17, 201213 yr Update to the latest release, should not be a issue anymore I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated. Consider supporting the team on Patreon
