[SOLVED] create gun?

i've tried messing around with a couple of things but cant seem to get any of them to work , so...

any one know how to make a gun in the new version of the api ? cause i'm completely stuck ><

You mean an item that fires an arrow or your own bullet?

If your fine with the arrow, take a look at the ItemBow class.

it'd be my own bullet instead of an arrow

and I've tried deciphering that, cant figure out how it works ><

I would think it would be as easy as copying ItemBow and EntityArrow with just a few bits of code change and such...  What have you exactly tried?

i pretty much tried rewriting each of them , but w/o the charge time and where the damage of the weapon is its ammo clip while keeping it from breaking. in the end i just ended up with errors , frustrated , and deleted the code to restart that part from a clean slate. spent pretty much all day yesterday doing that

try going from the bow/arrow code and do it step by step. With extensive testing!

The second you get an error, you know where you went wrong.

 

(I shouldn't be the one telling you this, I don't do it the 'clean' way eater  )
