Posted October 27, 201312 yr Hi, how would I search for dropped items in a radius around a coordinate? I tried: public static ArrayList<EntityItem> getEntityItemsInRadius(World world, double x, double y, double z, int radius){ List list = world.getEntitiesWithinAABBExcludingEntity((Entity)null, AxisAlignedBB.getAABBPool().getAABB(x, y, z, x + 1.0D, y + 1.0D, z + 1.0D).expand(radius, radius, radius), IEntitySelector.selectInventories); ArrayList<EntityItem> result = new ArrayList<EntityItem>(); for(int k = 0; k < list.size(); k++){ if(list.get(k) instanceof EntityItem){ result.add((EntityItem) list.get(k)); } } return result; } but the length of the returned array list is always 0 even if I drop an item within the radius. October 27, 201312 yr Here's what I used: List l = worldObj.getEntitiesWithinAABB(EntityItem.class, AxisAlignedBB.getAABBPool().getAABB(xCoord-3, yCoord-3, zCoord-3, xCoord+3, yCoord+3, zCoord+3)); And it worked. November 2, 201312 yr Author Thanks for the feedback, but I tried it and the list size is 0 even if there are loads of items around the mod using this method: public static List getEntityItemsInRadius(World world, double x, double y, double z, int radius) { List list = world.getEntitiesWithinAABB(EntityItem.class, AxisAlignedBB.getAABBPool().getAABB(x-radius, y-radius, z-radius, x + radius, y + radius, z + radius)); return list; } radius = 10 "Thinking that coding is the nerdy IT guy at work rebooting your computer is like thinking that music is what happens when the piano tuner comes round." - Ed Rex
