December 27, 201311 yr First, armor needs to extend ItemArmor not Item. Second there are tutorials for Armor sets. If done correctly you wont need to use isValidArmor.

December 27, 201311 yr I want to add custom rendered armor so thats why i'm extending item not itemarmor. and using isvalidarmor 1) You MUST extend ItemArmor or your armor will not provide any protection when worn, even if you do get the isValidArmor working. 2) Custom renders can be done just fine by extending ItemArmor. Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice. Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked. DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.
December 27, 201311 yr Draco beat me to it. Anyways, google for custom 3d armor rendering. There is a tutorial on the Minecraft Forums for it.
