Posted December 28, 201311 yr Hey guys, I want to code a new machine like other TE machines, and I don't know where to get started. There isn't any kind of API for TE 3.0 and I just don't know how to get started coding the machine. I looked at the source of TE and it all looked very structured in itself (I don't know how I can say this, I want to say that it looks like a closed system) and I don't know how to simply create a new TE machine. Can you help me to get started please? Sincerly Mayesters
December 28, 201311 yr No API == No Other TE Machines Don't PM me with questions. They will be ignored! Make a thread on the appropriate board for support. 1.12 -> 1.13 primer by williewillus. 1.7.10 and older versions of Minecraft are no longer supported due to it's age! Update to the latest version for support. http://www.howoldisminecraft1710.today/
December 28, 201311 yr TE does have an api, as does its core mod. Just drag and drop the api files into your workspace.
December 28, 201311 yr Author It doesn't have an API. TE2 has got one, TE3 doesn't have. http://teamcofh.com/ <- TE3 http://thermalexpansion.wikispaces.com/Downloads <- TE2 (where an API link is given) Pls.
December 28, 201311 yr If the API doesn't exist, then you can't create new machines for it. Not with out a LOT of work, extracting and decompiling TE and converting all the vanilla functions and fields back to their deobfuscated forms manually. Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice. Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked. DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.
December 28, 201311 yr The new TE site isnt fully updated yet either. Since TE2 had an api, Im sure its just a matter of time before they implement one for TE3.
December 30, 201311 yr I don't think they are implementing an API they just say use IMC. But with that you can't create new machines with it.
