Posted January 9, 201411 yr Is there any way beside a custom block renderer or a blank transparent texture to prevent the block from being rendered? As it is now, I am rendering a model for my tile entity, but the block also renders.
January 9, 201411 yr In theory, you could make a transparent sprite for the block and register it similarly to glass, so the blocks adjacent to it will still render all faces. Have a play around with it. The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it hates those who speak it.
January 9, 201411 yr Author I was aware of that option. I was just hoping I didnt have to do that. Id rather not have to include a blank texture in my assets. It would be nice if there was a way to disable rendering of the block... Ill see what happens when I mess with the render type. EDIT: Solved, changing the render type to -1 disables rendering.
January 9, 201411 yr public boolean shouldSideBeRendered(IBlockAccess par1IBlockAccess, int par2, int par3, int par4, int par5) { return false; } Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice. Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked. DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.
January 9, 201411 yr Author Actually, your solution is better if since only certain metas of my block have a model... This way I can check the meta and only render the ones that dont have a model.
