Ok, let's change the java build

Follow these steps one by one:

Install this version of Java 8:

https://www.azul.com/downloads/?version=java-8-lts&os=windows&architecture=x86-64-bit&package=jre&show-old-builds=true

Scroll down to 8u302b08 and install this build - make sure it is this build

On your Desktop, create a folder "server"

Redownload Forge:

https://files.minecraftforge.net/net/minecraftforge/forge/index_1.7.10.html

Download the "Installer"

Click on the Installer, choose "Install Server" and select the "server" folder on your Desktop

After Installation, open the server folder and create eula.txt

Open this file and write

eula=true

Create another new text file and rename it to start.bat

Edit (not open) the bat file and paste:

"C:\Program Files\Zulu\zulu-8\bin\javaw.exe" -Xmx2G -jar forge-1.7.10-10.13.4.1614-1.7.10-universal.jar
pause

Save it and click on the run.bat file

Try my Modpack

I have no idea - maybe you will need older Java 8 oracle builds, too

is there a way to add a curseforge modpack to the server, or do I need to add the mods individually

A lot of the time, modpacks will have server files available for download, double check the curseforge listing and files list for the modpacks you are interested in.
