Posted February 15, 201411 yr I'm currently trying to implement a kind of drop item into block to get something, but I can't find the right event. I've tried the ItemTossEvent, but it's only called when the entityitem is put into the world. I also tried the LivingFallEvent, but of course, it's only for living entities. So is there an event that's called when an EntityItem drops? Kain
February 15, 201411 yr Hi I'm pretty sure there is no such event, but you could perhaps add code to the Entity's .onUpdate, to inspect Entity.onGround, and if true, check the block underneath it. -TGG
February 15, 201411 yr Author Ok, instead I've used the ItemTossEvent to get the dropped item, then I used my own EntityItem class that detects if it's on the ground. Kain
February 15, 201411 yr There's also a collide function in the Block class that will detect entities, IIRC. Look at the hopper. Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.
