Forge Universal 4.0.0.249 Blackscreen

I have been trying to install Minecraft Forge Universal 4.0.0.249, i open the minecraft.jar drag all the files into it, delete the META-INF and close all the windows. i then start up minecraft click the "login" button and the i get a blackscreen. so i googled for a while and used the method explained here ( http://goo.gl/0dQz0 ) to get a "stack trace" i think thats what its called, but here it is. (sorry if i am supposed to put it in a spoiler this is my first post and i dont know how $:-\$ )

I have the same problem, it happens right after the Minecraft Logo.

just to test i went and got a minecraft 1.2.5 jar and installed forge 1.2.5 and then it crashed AFTER the mojang screen

As for broswen, this is interesting its saying it cant create the javax window... what JVM do you have installed?

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

i went ahead and googled, found this site http://www.helpbytes.co.uk/java.php

told me i had 1.7.0_05

Okay I found out how to get this to work. I basically reinstalled minecraft comepletly by removing .minecraft from the appdata folder and it seemed to work. Just replace your texturepacks and single player saves and your done

Try going through and getting the error log from the console again. Not sure exactly why it wouldn't create a log for you...

Also, you may wanna try 7zip, winrar should work, but it may be derping something up.

Also try updating to the latest build instead of 251, as thats kinda old. And I *should* be able to do another RB soon.

the thing is the programmer side of me wants to know why winrar didnt work and what was with the javax window...

So, I tried this, and the world did load, but ALL of the modded items and things I had completely disappeared, as well as many unmodded things like my chests and items I was carrying. Any solutions?

How do I remove 3d headlayer on NPC's skin in CustomNpc? (1.16.5)

I know this was posted almost 3 years ago but this is for anyone who is still looking for an answer.

First, find your config folder. -> C:\Users\ (desktop user's name) \curseforge(or the application where you've downloaded you mod)\minecraft\Instances\config (The config folder should be in the same folder as your mods folder.) Once you click on the config folder, search for CustomNpcs.cfg. Once found, click on it (you can edit it using notepad) and search for the line "headweartype". Set the value to 0 if you want a 2d head layer, set it to 1 for a 3d head layer. Then save the options and you should be good to go from there! :)
