Posted June 14, 201411 yr Hi, I'm being incredible thick, I've done these before and have loads working, I've been through the codes of my working one and can't find what the problem is. Sorry for my stupidity on this one. The block "appears" in game but is transparent which made me think it was a proxy problem but I looked through and couldn't find the error. It shows no error in eclipse either by the way. Their is a tileenity class as well as what's shown below Proxy: package greek.proxies; import greek.entity.EntityMinotaur; import greek.models.mobs.ModelHornedBiped; import greek.render.blocks.renderHadesPillar; import greek.render.mobs.renderMinotaur; import greek.tileentity.TileEntityHadesPillar; import net.minecraft.client.renderer.tileentity.TileEntitySpecialRenderer; import cpw.mods.fml.client.registry.ClientRegistry; import cpw.mods.fml.client.registry.RenderingRegistry; public class ClientProxy extends CommonProxy{ public void registerRenderThings() { //Render Pillar TileEntitySpecialRenderer render = new renderHadesPillar(); ClientRegistry.bindTileEntitySpecialRenderer(TileEntityHadesPillar.class, render); //Render Minotaur RenderingRegistry.registerEntityRenderingHandler(EntityMinotaur.class, new renderMinotaur(new ModelHornedBiped(), 0.3F)); } public void registerTileEntitySpecialRenderer() { } } Block: package greek.blocks.hades; import greek.main.main; import greek.tileentity.TileEntityHadesPillar; import net.minecraft.block.Block; import net.minecraft.block.material.Material; import net.minecraft.tileentity.TileEntity; import net.minecraft.world.World; import cpw.mods.fml.relauncher.Side; import cpw.mods.fml.relauncher.SideOnly; import net.minecraft.block.BlockContainer; import net.minecraft.block.material.Material; import net.minecraft.client.renderer.texture.IIconRegister; import net.minecraft.creativetab.CreativeTabs; import net.minecraft.entity.EntityLivingBase; import net.minecraft.item.ItemStack; public class HadesPillar extends Block{ public HadesPillar(Material material){ super(Material.rock); setHardness(1.5F); setResistance(10F); setBlockTextureName(main.MODID + ":hades/" + "pillar"); setCreativeTab(main.MythBlocks); setStepSound(soundTypeStone); } public int getRenderType() { return -1; } public boolean isOpaqueCube() { return false; } public boolean renderAsNormalBlock(){ return false; } public TileEntity createNewTileEntity(World var1, int var2) { return new TileEntityHadesPillar(); } } render: package greek.render.blocks; import net.minecraft.client.renderer.tileentity.TileEntitySpecialRenderer; import net.minecraft.tileentity.TileEntity; import net.minecraft.util.ResourceLocation; import greek.main.main; import greek.models.blocks.*; import org.lwjgl.opengl.GL11; public class renderHadesPillar extends TileEntitySpecialRenderer{ private static final ResourceLocation texture = new ResourceLocation(main.MODID + ":" + "textures/custom_blocks" + "pillar.png"); private modelPillar model; public renderHadesPillar() { this.model = new modelPillar(); } @Override public void renderTileEntityAt(TileEntity tileentity, double x, double y, double z, float f) { this.RenderAModelAt((TileEntity)tileentity, x, y, z, f); } public void RenderAModelAt(TileEntity tileentity, double par2, double par4, double par6, float par8) { GL11.glPushMatrix(); GL11.glTranslated((float)par2 + 0.5F, (float)par4 + 1.5F, (float)par6 + 0.5F); GL11.glScalef(1.0F, -1F, -1F); this.bindTexture(texture); this.model.renderModel(0.0625F); GL11.glPopMatrix(); } } model: package greek.models.blocks; import net.minecraft.client.model.ModelBase; import net.minecraft.client.model.ModelRenderer; import net.minecraft.entity.Entity; public class modelPillar extends ModelBase { //fields ModelRenderer base; public modelPillar() { textureWidth = 64; textureHeight = 32; base = new ModelRenderer(this, 0, 0); base.addBox(0F, 0F, 0F, 15, 16, 15); base.setRotationPoint(0F, 0F, 0F); base.setTextureSize(64, 32); base.mirror = true; setRotation(base, 0F, 0F, 0F); } public void render(Entity entity, float f, float f1, float f2, float f3, float f4, float f5) { super.render(entity, f, f1, f2, f3, f4, f5); setRotationAngles(f, f1, f2, f3, f4, f5, entity); base.render(f5); } public void renderModel(float f){ base.render(f); } private void setRotation(ModelRenderer model, float x, float y, float z) { model.rotateAngleX = x; model.rotateAngleY = y; model.rotateAngleZ = z; } public void setRotationAngles(float f, float f1, float f2, float f3, float f4, float f5, Entity entity) { super.setRotationAngles(f, f1, f2, f3, f4, f5, entity); } }
June 14, 201411 yr Make your block extend BlockContainer instead of block. See if that helps at all. We all stuff up sometimes... But I seem to be at the bottom of that pot.
June 15, 201411 yr createNewTileEntity() is only called if you extend BlockContainer. If you don't want to extend it, try implementing ITileEntityProvider.
