So I'm installing mods and I noticed that Minecraft forge messes a bit with optifine's options such as the lava and water and also the different skins animals and monsters use that appear at random. I wouldn't mind but it changes the lava and water texture to one i don't like and doesn't fit my texture pack. I don't know if forge is the only mod that is affecting optifine but i wanted to start somewhere....plz someone tell me how to fix the issue of forge and optifine messing with each other.

FML hash basic HD texture support, however it does not support the fancy stuff for lava/water/etc.. that things like Optifine does.

So just install OptiFine after Forge and you should be good.

I just got this email from sp614x:

The latest OptiFine HD C1 has support for Forge build #114 and FML.

I have not tested it with all possible mods, but the hooks are being called and nothing is crashing so far.

So, it should be fine.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.
