[1.8][SOLVED] Recipes and ItemStacks: Wood, Sugarcanes and Redstone powder

Featured Replies

Hi all, guys.

Total n00b here, so please forgive me if posting in the wrong place/posting an already discussed topic.

Here's my problem: i need to register recipes made up (amongst others) of (any type) of wood, sugar canes and redstone powder.

Cannot figure out where to find the items to stack up into ItemStack to build the recipe. Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance.

Dome

Wood:

Blocks.log

(oak,birch,jungle,spruce) or

Blocks.log2

(acacia,dark oak).

Suger Canes:

Blocks.reeds

.

Redstone Dust:

Items.redstone

.

There's also the OreDictionary.

For example here's one of my recipes:

GameRegistry.addRecipe(new ShapedOreRecipe(new ItemStack(blockmill,9), true, new Object[] {"SSS","SWS","SSS", 'S', "stone", 'W', "logWood"}));

Lets me use ANY log registered with the oredict as well as any stone.

Ok, almost everything's working.

Blocks.reeds shoots out a Null Pointer Exception during rendering process.

This is my test code:

GameRegistry.addRecipe(new ItemStack(Item.getItemFromBlock(Blocks.reeds), 64),

  "yyy",

  "  y",

  "  y",

  'y', dirtS);

dirtS is a dirt ItemStack.

Any suggestion on my error is highly appreciate :P

Last question on this topic (but that's quite an unimportant point): what about the Bone Meal Item? Where/what should i search for?
