[1.7.10] [Solved] Localizing a Custom String?

I was wondering if it's possible to localize a string other then an item or block name. If I have a String, for example text on a Gui, and I want to localize it with a lang file. How would I do that?

as far as i know the StatCollector can be used for this:

StatCollector.translateToLocal("gui.screen.action")

then obviously that string goes in the lang file so it gets translated

@MoeBoy79 Looking at the StatCollector class it uses StringTranslate. Could I use that instead? I don't want to use StatCollector because I'm not creating a stat.

Nope, StringTranslate is internal and the only class that has one is the StatCollector

I'm honestly not sure that this is possible. Try setting it to something like lang.text and go into the lang file and add in lang.text=Text. That might work but I am just telling you this off of the top of my head.
