So I try to join a LAN server and I get an error (on screen):

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Disconnected from server

Internal server error

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have lots of mods installed, but I have all of them installed on both computers.

I'm pretty sure a modded LAN Server works if both people have the same mods.

Anyway I believe this is the main problem:

  Reveal hidden contents

Here's the whole "ForgeModLoader-client-0" file:

  Reveal hidden contents

Also, no, I am not trying to connect with the same username, I'm not that dumb.

Thanks for any help,

Ensure you are running the same FML/Forge version as the server.

I'm not using the server version of Forge... because it is a LAN Server it uses the client version. Am I supposed to use the server version? I don't think so.

EDIT: Also I am not hosting the LAN Server with neonhights, so the single player world loads up fine, I click "ESC" then "Open to LAN" and then I try to join with neonhights (with the same mods) and then I get the error posted above.

Well thanks again for your help, but it still isn't working,

Hi,

You didn't read it right, he means version number i think (I may be wrong too :( oh noes )

Can you post both of the "ForgeModloader-client-0"' files? I think it will help.

Thanks, Green0Yoshi

Thanks for your time... Hopefully I can reply soon after you reply, but I'm busy, anyways.

I can't wait to start working on my mod. I haven't worked on it in a while but it is on

Github. It needs much more organization and work, I have lots of plans. :)

I only have one "ForgeModLoader-client-0" log.

I am not running a minecraft_server.jar, simply a LAN Server which was built into single player in 1.3 (I think).

Unless your talking about some other log, I have no idea where that would be...

Any other ideas would be great.

Thanks,

~neonhights

Hi again,

The server minecraft player instance (the one where you opened to lan) and the player one (connecting to lan). There should be two .minecraft folders which should each contain a log file each but are called the same. Sorry I couldn't be clearer.

Your fine, sorry I can't understand not clear words :D

Anyway here are the two logs...

Hosts "ForgeModLoader-client-0" log (same as one in the first post):

- The main problem (I think):

  Reveal hidden contents

- The whole log:

  Reveal hidden contents

Non-hosts "ForgeModLoader-client-0" log:

- The main problem (I think):

  Reveal hidden contents

- The whole log:

  Reveal hidden contents

By the way, I had to re-create the error on the non-hosts log because it was overwritten by other logs of test I have been doing, it should be the same though!

Hope all this helps,

The error on the non-host would appear to be errors in the code responsible for the server list menu, but can I suggest upgrading to forge build 355? You can get it here: http://adf.ly/673885/http://files.minecraftforge.net/minecraftforge-universal-6.0.1.355.zip

Protip: try and find answers yourself before asking on the forum.

It's pretty likely that there is an answer.

Okay so I updated to MinecraftForge Version 6.0.1.355 (didn't know there was a new one).

Well it didn't go so well, everything loaded up in the single player world fine, then when I tried to connect to the LAN Server I got the same error (on screen) that is posted at the beginning of this thread.

I looked at the Forge Logs and I got a few more error messages, maybe they give some more information.

I'll post both what I think is the problem and the whole log as I did before.

Hosts "ForgeModLoader-client-0" log (appears to be the same error):

- The main problem (I think):

  Reveal hidden contents

- The whole log:

  Reveal hidden contents

Non-hosts "ForgeModLoader-client-0" log (a few more lines of error messages than before):

- The main problem (I think):

  Reveal hidden contents

- The whole log:

  Reveal hidden contents

Both the errors that I think are causing the problem are near the bottom of the "whole logs" if you want to see them in context.

Thanks for all the help so far, but I would really enjoy it if this was fixed,

Check that all your mods are for MC 1.4.2, not 1.4.3 or 1.3.2? And update them all?

It's not that issue, I am sure of it.

TropiCraft says it is updated to 1.4.3, but it's not, look here:

http://tropicraft.net/p/v4-0-4a-yay-more-bug-fixes-and-some-news/

If you look at the first "paragraph" you'll see it says that it says it's for 1.4.3 but it is not, and he was originally going to release it for 1.4.3 but since Jeb postponed the release, he just updated (for 1.4.2).

WeatherMod is supposedly updated, look here:

http://tropicraft.net/downloads/

If you go down to the "Written Instructions" and on 5. and 6. it says both of those mods are for 1.4.2 in the latest version of TropiCraft (4.0.4a), as you can see I got those two mods from the TropiCraft download (it's included in the .zip if you read that) so I doubt he would release an update if those weren't for 1.4.2.

Anyone else wanna give a shot at it? Thanks,

~neonhights

The only thing I could say now is reinstall your JAR mods (just optifine and Forge, it would seem). The 'error' on the client is normal, I noticed it today while I was playing.
