I made a block called Mixer. I tried to make a recipe where you need items that the mod also add but when I put the items in crafting table in the right order nothing happens. Here the code of the recipe:

ItemStack stackRB = new ItemStack(Blocks.redstone_block);

ItemStack stackt = new ItemStack(this.tryptonidCry);

ItemStack stackib = new ItemStack(Blocks.iron_block);

ItemStack stackb = new ItemStack(this.brantinIngot);

ItemStack stackOp = new ItemStack(this.mixEl);

GameRegistry.addShapedRecipe(stackOp, "ibi", "rtr", "ibi", 'i', stackib, 'b', stackb, 't', stackt, 'r', stackRB);

Whats the probleme?!

this is what i use for my recipes, it works for me so it should for you.

GameRegistry.addRecipe(new ItemStack(GrindStoneIdle), "srs", "sgs", "pbp",
	        'r', Items.redstone, 'g', ItemHandler.GrindStone , 's', Blocks.stone, 'p', Blocks.planks, 'b', Items.bucket);

i think its because you are creating new instances of your itemstacks

No.

OP: Are you sure your recipe registration code is actually getting called? From where are you calling it? Show more of your code.

Don't make mods if you don't know Java.

i think its because you register the recipes before you register the blocks/items. that is the only explenation i could think off

This is almost certainly the case.

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked.

DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.

Those are easy to solve without help and impossible to solve without both the code and the crash report.

That was right but now it crashes null point exception

Since all of my recipes are registered in my init method, not preinit, my guess is that preinit is too early in some cases. Of course, it would help if you told us what pointer was null at what line of what file.

The debugger is a powerful and necessary tool in any IDE, so learn how to use it. You'll be able to tell us more and get better help here if you investigate your runtime problems in the debugger before posting.
