Help please trying to sort mods and forge out for son

Hi total newb here i downloaded the offical version of minecraft forge and it loaded fine but when ioening minecraft it didntshow the mods tab in the launcher so ny son had a mess and everythings gone i now cannot find anything to do with forgemods or anything i have tried redownloading the forge but doesnt run when downloaded i am now at a loss on how to completley staet again to download forge the correct way how do i remove all files i cannot find and reinstall forge please help in simple terms

No mods folder ever apeared and i when did work the mods never showed up on the minecraft launcher when pressing play i have tried re downloading the forge installer but it will download but when i press run nothing happens i have disabled all my firewalls and nothing just doesnt install

Run the installer jar file as described in the eaq, or the video in my signature and post the logs from the console window.

If you cant figure that our youll want to go reinstall java and then run the jarfix in the eaqs.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

      Do you have shaders enabled? There is an issue with the mod simpleclouds - remove this mod or disable shaders, if enabled

      Maybe you need to create file in assets/<modid>/items/<itemname>.json with content like this:   { "model": { "type": "minecraft:model", "model": "modname:item/itemname" } }
