[1.9] How do I control what items go into my TileEntity implementing IInventory?

I want to limit the stack size to 1 and only allow some items. Keep in mind I'm using the IInventory system. I can't understand the capabilities system AT ALL, and will switch once I understand it.  Thanks.

ItemStacks can be inserted by either Container or by world.

For container youcan create custom Slot classes which accept proper stuff and sizes.

Same goes for IInventory.

1.7.10 is no longer supported by forge, you are on your own.

So which method(s) do I need to override in my Slot subclass?

Can't you just look into Slot.class?

isItemValid

canTakeStack

Names speak for themselves.

Note that this is only for Container/Gui manipulation. There are other ways (direcly from code or hoppers) to insert stuff. You can simply not accept hoppers if that is a problem.

Jesus Christ.

IInventory#canInsertItem

and

IInventory#isItemValidForSlot
