I am trying to make an block or TileEntity that rotates based on the direction its placed, or spawned on a players death. And i wanna change blocks based on its loctions like if urs facing north change a block 1 down, 1 forward and stuff not sure how though

Well my friends server is 1.7.10 at the moment till he finds a few mods that he needs for security like locked chests so people cant steal and break blocks that dont belong to them

There's a way to get the direction the player is looking (EntityPlayer#getLookVec) that you can use to create an offset for which blocks to change.

There's a way to get the direction the player is looking (EntityPlayer#getLookVec) that you can use to create an offset for which blocks to change.

Many of the vec3d methods are client-side only (used for rendering), so check it. If so, then imitate rather than calling server side.

The debugger is a powerful and necessary tool in any IDE, so learn how to use it. You'll be able to tell us more and get better help here if you investigate your runtime problems in the debugger before posting.
