I really want to make a fruit tree for my mod but I don't know how. I haven't found any tutorials :c

 

I want to create a tree with custom leaves and log and with fruit hanging from it like a apple tree. I also want new fruits to regrow after time (if the fruits have been harvested if it's possible to code that)

Well look at the log and leaves files first. That is for the leaves despawning when not attached to logs, etc. Next look into the world gen files. If you can't figure it out, (this is VERY complex) look at 1.8.9 mod's github and comment on tutorial websites.

You could also make it a tile entity instead and has more abilities but is more complicated and if overdone, cause lag.

Step 1:

Make a custom tree (as Orange says)

Step 2:

Make the leaf block periodically spawn fruit "blocks" below it (you'll want a block that renders an item inside it and drops said item when broken).

Just create yohr custom tree and make your leaf blocks spawn your fruit block right below it. You can put different conditions for this to happen. You need to custom render your fruit blocks and make them drop the fruit item when destroyed.

You can use random ticks or scheduled ticks to place a fruit block underneath the leaves.
