Walking on farmland on a 1.10 server with 1.10.2

Okay. I know this is more of a bug with Minecraft itself.

If running a 1.10.2 Forge client and playing a 1.10 server, there's difficulty walking on farmland due to a 1.10.2 update changing the shape of farmland. Any way to fix this, or a mod to patch it?

    Yes, update the server.

    I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

    The reason I'm asking if a client side fix is possible is because I do not own the server in question.
