Is there a way to have multiple block states on one block?

I looked everywhere and I can't find out how to have multiple block states on one block! I looked everywhere from other mods source code to online tutorials! I even tried to follow this link https://mcforge.readthedocs.io/en/latest/blockstates/forgeBlockstates and still can't find any solution to this problem. Is there anyone that can help me?

1. "How to properly code .json in forgeBlockstate format?"

2. "How to make block have multiple properties (using metadata)?"

3. "How to make block have more properties than metadata allows?"

 

Which one is it?

 

P.S: "multiple block states on one block" - phrasing, block has only one BlockState, it can have multiple properties/variants.

That's up to you, using your experience as a programmer. If you don't have that experience, then look in a more general programming forum for ideas, because such low-level data mangling is not Forge specific.

 

What you do need to know about Forge is that metadata is limited to int 0..15 (4 bits), and whatever you do to code state -> metadata must be reversed in meta -> state. After that, you also get to code the Get Actual State, which can take environment into account.
