SeanOMik Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 I need to make a furnace like thing for my mod. But I don't want it to use the vanilla minecraft recipes. I want to only be able to use custom recipes that I make. I have watched 1.8.9 tutorials and they all come to a end before they finish the project, or they don't show you how to do the active one. I have no idea where I should start. If anybody can make a tutorial for 1.9 that would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to make a stove for my mod that you can find here: https://mods.curse.com/mc-mods/minecraft/246769-a-realistic-food-mod Quote Developer of "A Realistic Foods Mod"
Draco18s Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Which part are you having trouble with? Making a block? Making a TE? Or making the class that saves all the recipes and gets their results? Draco18s Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Create a class. Put a private, static, HashMap<ItemStack,ItemStack> in it Create a public method to insert into this map and a public method to retrieve from it. Go look at what Furnace Recipes does. Animefan8888 Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 No I mean There should be a class that extends another class called Container. It should have a method in it called canInteractWith and possibly even these transferStackInSlot, updateProgressBar, detectAndSendChanges, and addCraftingToCrafters. Also in the constructor something like this this.addSlotToContainer. Quote VANILLA MINECRAFT CLASSES ARE THE BEST RESOURCES WHEN MODDING I will be posting 1.15.2 modding tutorials on this channel. Draco18s Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 By the way, this line: private static final VDraw_furnace_smelting VDraw_furnace_smelting = new VDraw_furnace_smelting(); Can you please change that to: private static final VDraw_furnace_smelting instance = new VDraw_furnace_smelting(); Having the instance name and the class name match, including case, is a recipe for disaster.
