Laptop taking long time to load on step 7

Since updating past forge 12.18.2.2107 when my laptop gets to step 7/7 Texture uploading and mipmap it takes 20-25 minutes to finish that step.

Can anyone tell me what that step is and how I might fix that.

 

I am using a mod pack All the Mods

 

The laptop has 8GB of Ram and I have 6 allocated for use for minecraft. My other systems are fine loading up and if I downgrade my laptop back to version of the modpack that use version 12.18.2.2107 or older I can load and play minecraft.

Probably the Developer of that ModPack can provide you with a solution. Also I would try a fresh reinstall of the ModPack (Make a world backup first)

I'll give that a shot there but seems like an issue with later version of forge. I have also done a complete windows restore .... been working on this for few days. So this is a fresh install of Win 10 with fresh install of the mod pack.

The laptop was set to auto select GPU so it was using the Intel HD graphics instead of the Geforce 940M. I never noticed this because until the 2111 update the game ran fine. I changed it from auto select to always use the 940M and now it works fine.
