Posted January 14, 20178 yr Basically what I want to do is render items inside of my block based on the items in the container. (From what I can tell) this is not possible from a baked model because you cant access what items are in the container from the baked model. So my only option is using a TESR. Now I can render all the items fine but it lags out the game a lot since it updates constantly. Is there a way to make the TESR only update the render when needed and not constantly?
January 15, 20178 yr Author Sorry if I seem kinda confused about this. I don't quite see how I'm able to insert any data into the state of the block. Wouldn't I then have to create a PropertyEnum or something which has every possible item that can go into the container as a possibility?
January 15, 20178 yr If you're using a TE, you need to get the TE at the position and set the values there. You don't use BlockStates for this. January 15, 20178 yr Author I was referring to what Diesieben said. How do I go about sending data (as specific as what items are in a container) to the baked model via the state.
January 15, 20178 yr getActualState() You need state properties that represent the data, but you can't set those values via setBlockState() because they aren't encoded in metadata.
