Posted June 3, 20178 yr Hello! Me again :(. I just need help with the minecraft/forge api. Again I am using forge 1.8. The code related is: ItemStack dropp = drop.getDrops().get(id); if (instructionsToValue[j].equalsIgnoreCase("itemname")) { String s = instructionsToValue[j + 1]; } else if (instructionsToValue[j].equalsIgnoreCase("itemnamecolor")) { } Based on the value of s(Would be same for item color) how would I set the items name and item name color. ALL of my code can be viewed on github: https://github.com/xXXIMMATTHEWXXx/BroCubes Edited June 3, 20178 yr by IMleader Fix code indention
June 3, 20178 yr Where in your repository is this three lines of code located? These supplied lines are no where near enough to figure out what the hell you're even talking about, much less answer your question (and I say "three" because the first one is useless in this context, it creates a local variable that is then unused in the rest of the snippet and could have been omitted). Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice. Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked. DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.

June 3, 20178 yr Ah, you're trying to set the item stack NBT data so the item has a custom name, same as if it was renamed in the Anvil? Try looking at the anvil code to see how it applies a name. I looked at what the avil does.
June 3, 20178 yr Author Just was reading around some nbt code. Found this: http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Tutorials/Command_NBT_tags under display. The items name and color are both under this display value. How do I go about chaneging these?
June 3, 20178 yr Looks fine to me. But I've never used those methods. Does it work?
