Libraries Failed To Download

Featured Replies

I'm trying to download 1.8.9 forge but it says the libraries won't download even though I've tried to fix the problem by downloading the libraries and putting them in the right spot.

How do I get to that?

@diesieben07

It's a text file with the same name as the installer in the same directory.

Please don't PM me to ask for help. Asking your question in a public thread preserves it for people who are having the same problem in the future.

I just tried hello.jar and it still said it didn't work

  • 3 weeks later...

I did all that, java -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true -jar [Forge.jar] (I renamed to just Forge) and when i ht enter it still did not show up saying that it was unable to access that file, why is that?

Stop placing brackets everywhere. Remove them. Also, most likely you've disabled file extensions in Windows, so if the file is already jar type, don't name it *something*.jar, just *something*.

java -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true -jar Forge.jar
