Posted July 18, 20178 yr I need to select between 2 different recipe outputs based on a config value. How do I do that? Create dummy item name and register an alias based on the config? How do I register alias? Reflect into ForgeRegistry? Edited July 18, 20178 yr by SoniEx2 No, you do NOT need jar modding!
July 18, 20178 yr Probably create a custom IRecipe implementation (you can subclass the existing ones). Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice. Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked. DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.
July 18, 20178 yr So you want to have two different outputs for the same recipe? I did something similar three years ago using the ItemCrafted(not the correct name) event. It allowed me to modify the output ItemStack on the run while it was crafted. Needed to change stuff based on on of the ingredients metadata and damage. Not sure if that's what you want though. If you just want to permanently adjust a crafting recipe on startup using code you could probably replace it using the CraftingManager class. Would be great if someone can confirm that. Edit: How the hell did you answer 3 mins before me Draco? I wrote this in like 20 seconds... Edit 2: Looks like they made some of the methods in the CraftingManager private. But now there is a RegistryEvent.Register<IRecipe> event that should allow you to do the same. Edited July 18, 20178 yr by Jacky2611 Here could be your advertisement!
July 18, 20178 yr Author Okay figured out how to use the awful _factories.json-based system, nvm. No, you do NOT need jar modding!
