Posted October 15, 20177 yr Hi. I am Squishling. I have found some code on the internet for use with registering items, as the tutorial I was following was outdated. Keep in mind that this is my first mod: @SubscribeEvent public static void register(RegistryEvent.Register<Item> event) { event.getRegistry().register(packet); } I am trying to register items, and would like to know what I need to use as the parameter for the method (RegistryEvent.Register<Item> event). Feel free to ask for any more information. Thanks in advance, ~ Squishling
October 15, 20177 yr This is an event, you do not invoke it yourself. The @SubscribeEvent annotation is what allows the code to be called when the class it is in is correctly registered as an event handler. http://mcforge.readthedocs.io/en/latest/concepts/registries/#registering-things Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice. Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked. DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.
