Posted December 28, 20177 yr I've been looking to find how to make a crafting recipe with lapis lazuli and not the other dye, is this possible Edited December 28, 20177 yr by GooberGunter
December 28, 20177 yr Dyes use metadata. Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice. Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked. DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.
December 28, 20177 yr Author Sorry, so is there a way to specify metadata in a json file? Edited December 28, 20177 yr by GooberGunter
December 28, 20177 yr Have you looked at any of the vanilla recipes that involve metadata items? Say...cookies? December 28, 20177 yr Author I tried, but I still can't figure out how to access the json files. I tried via the forge reference libraries but they can't be opened, and then I tried to find them in .minecraft, but no luck there. Do you know, where I could find them? Edit: I think I might've found a way to access them by opening the version file in winrar Update: Yup "item": "minecraft:dye", "data": 4 Thanks, I've been trying to access vanilla assets for a while now Edited December 28, 20177 yr by GooberGunter

December 28, 20177 yr Author Weird, I get the message: 'System editor can only open file base resources.' Probably something wrong with my setup
