Hi guys, I was wondering where the main method file is in Minecraft Forge? ? I am trying to edit the program so it can be used in my program, but I can't seem to find it in the source code on Github. (I will give credit to Minecraft Forge creators)

Just in case if you didn't know, the main method is a function in java where it ran to execute the program.

Why do you need to know where the method is to use Forge?

What kind of program are you talking about?

As the most common issue I feel I should put this outside the main bulk:

The only official source for Forge is https://files.minecraftforge.net, and the only site I trust for getting mods is CurseForge.

If you use any site other than these, please take a look at the StopModReposts project and install their browser extension, I would also advise running a virus scan.

For players asking for assistance with Forge please expand the spoiler below and read the appropriate section(s) in its/their entirety.

@DaemonUmbra So basically, I am trying to make a launcher that can launch a modpack by using Minecraft Forge. Unfortunately, Minecraft Forge can't run by itself unless by running Minecraft and pressing the play button to launch the client. So, right now I am trying to find a way to run Minecraft Forge without having to open Minecraft to launch the client. Usually, the main method function that executes the program is in charge of this.

I'm not sure on the policy about this, but I don't think we support those developing launchers as we can't fully vouch for motives or skills.

I think it's either one of those things that's against the rules but not really enforced, or it's one of those things that's not disallowed but is heavily frowned upon.

Disclaimer: I am NOT a legal expert, nor am i an expert on Minecraft's EULA, my knowledge of this subject is rather lacking

Yes, this is heavily frowned upon. The code from the launcher is also separate from the game code. If you are looking for an easy way to launch or distribute your modpack use the twitch launcher.

Do not make launchers, It has been requested by Mojang that launching the game and any user auth goes through them for security purposes.

So, ya, don't do it. Esp considering you have obviously not spent any time trying to figure out how any of this works.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.
