Adding mods to forge environment [1.10.2]

Hello,

I have problems with my 1.10.2 mod rendering custom block overlays when using shaderpacks, which is why I want to start the test environment in Eclipse with OptiFine installed in order to load up shaders & troubleshoot.

As far as I know, I can put additional mods into the run/mods directory which will then load up alongside with my mod. However, putting the latest 1.10.2 OptiFine jar into that folder gives me the following error:

It seems like there are some classes forge isn't able to find. Is there anything I need to do with the OptiFine jar, aside from putting it into run/mods?

Thanks in advance.

Anything below 1.11.2 is unsupported on this forum.Might even be 1.12.2 at this point.

VANILLA MINECRAFT CLASSES ARE THE BEST RESOURCES WHEN MODDING

I will be posting 1.15.2 modding tutorials on this channel. If you want to be notified of it do the normal YouTube stuff like subscribing, ect.

In order to load mods in a deobf environment, you need to use the deobf version of mods.

I’m not sure whether Optifine has a deobfuscated version though.

Some tips:

Modder Support:

Spoiler

1. Do not follow tutorials on YouTube, especially TechnoVision (previously called Loremaster) and HarryTalks, due to their promotion of bad practice and usage of outdated code.

2. Always post your code.

3. Never copy and paste code. You won't learn anything from doing that.

Support & Bug Reports:

Spoiler

1. Read the EAQ before asking for help. Remember to provide the appropriate log(s).

2. Versions below 1.11 are no longer supported due to their age. Update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.
