Forge Update Offline

Updating wise as long as Forge itself is the only thing that needs updating and everything the new version of Forge needs is the same as the old version the installer should work fine offline.

Installing Forge new or updating Forge where the new version has to update libraries, it's doable but isn't 100% offline, i.e. you'd need to run the installer on a PC with an internet connection before bringing the installed files over to a PC without an internet connection.

This is my Forum Signature, I am currently attempting to transform it into a small guide for fixing easier issues using spoiler blocks to keep things tidy.

 

As the most common issue I feel I should put this outside the main bulk:

The only official source for Forge is https://files.minecraftforge.net, and the only site I trust for getting mods is CurseForge.

If you use any site other than these, please take a look at the StopModReposts project and install their browser extension, I would also advise running a virus scan.

It catches my attention that it says "place manual server jar" what is this file and where can I download it?

 

I have the forge libraries and the installer but it asks me for that server .jar file.

 

Maybe with that file you can make forge update and work offline. Please if anyone knows how to update forhw offline, write me.

 

Maybe @LexManos can help me.
