Would it be possible to add an internal archive for the ''lib'' files so that FML doesn't have to: Downloading http://such-n-such.com. I believe that this is the reason that FML has Fatal Errors when downloading library files, because when I try to go to http://files.minecraftforge.net/fmllibs.scala for example, it isn't an official webpage. Maybe FML has the same issue and that is why it fails. This would also allow people with no internet access to play as well.

We decided not to ship the libraries interally simply because of the massive amounts of redundant data on our server that would cause along with a few other factors.

99% of people can download things just fine.

Not exactly sure what you're getting at about not a official server... files.minecraftforge.net is our official files server...

The fix is users just reading the error and following it's directions. But sadly we cannot fix users being lazy.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

Im refering to the .jar and .zip files that FML downloads from the web. I was reading a few posts where people get a Fatal Error crash whenever FML is downloading the lib files from .jar and zip websites. I have a similar issue since my only source of internet is through WiFi on my phone.

Ah yeah that, maybe a self-extracting archive that unzips to the lib folder?

Read the EAQ before posting! OR ELSE!

This isn't building better software, its trying to grab a place in the commit list of a highly visible github project.

Don't PM me, I don't check this account unless I have to.

We could do that, but that would bork for anything that doesnt use the default install path.

Sounds great then, if so, people wont have to rely so much on launchers and then be stuck and have to re-install all over again.

The hell you talking about?

You, and the people who are having download issues, could just read the error log and follow it's directions.

If you manually install the libraries FML will not attempt to re-download them.
