Recently, I installed Forge 1.12.2 to run mods on, and it worked fine. Then I got 1.7.10 for some of the older mods, and everything stopped working. Every version of Forge now crashed due to an 'Unknown Issue'. I've tried reinstalling Forge (on all the versions I run it on), and updating Java, but that doesn't seem to influence the crashes. Any tips?

Things that might have caused this problem:

- I deleted the 'options.txt' file from my .minecraft folder, but after restarting the client the file was back exactly the same as the original.
- I had to install new instances of Forge, but that should be the problem as reinstalling has worked before.

If someone can help me figure this out I'd be super grateful.

Please read the Logs section of my signature below and provide the appropriate log in the appropriate manner.

This is my Forum Signature, I am currently attempting to transform it into a small guide for fixing easier issues using spoiler blocks to keep things tidy.

As the most common issue I feel I should put this outside the main bulk:

The only official source for Forge is https://files.minecraftforge.net, and the only site I trust for getting mods is CurseForge.

If you use any site other than these, please take a look at the StopModReposts project and install their browser extension, I would also advise running a virus scan.

For players asking for assistance with Forge please expand the spoiler below and read the appropriate section(s) in its/their entirety.

1.7.10 is no longer supported on this site due to its age.

If you are looking for help with 1.12.2, post logs as mentioned above.

If you have 1.12.2 and 1.7.10 mods both in your mods folder, that would break things.
