Step 1: download and install Forge

Step 2: write code

Which part is giving you trouble?

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked.

DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.

I think that between the 1.14.4 and the 1.15.0 the code style and others stuf hav changed. I need tutorials like Cabidoo says.

Ok, so I have this question: Between 1.15.0 or 1.15.1 a lot has changed or not? (for example the way to register your items [yes Cabdiboo, I read your tutorial, but I don't notice and wouldn't notice any difference at the moment]).

Cadiboo, Know you how to make a custom entity in the 1.15.1? I have see, that your Post about the Custom Entity is WIP(Work In Progress [Sorry if you find any misspeled Words]), but know you a Modder that has made a tutorial for the 1.15.1 on how to make a custom entity?

McJty might have. It's pretty simple, just register an EntityType for your entity in the appropriate registry event, have an entity class (a class that extends Entity) and register your renderer in the client setup event. There is an example of how to register an entity renderer in my example mod.

How do you register entity world spawns in 1.15.1? I looked through your tutorial but you haven't gotten to that bit yet. The code I have is

public static void registerEntityWorldSpawn(EntityType<?> entity, Biome... biomes) {
  for (Biome biome : biomes) {
    if (biome != null) {
      biome.getSpawns(entity.getClassification()).add(new SpawnListEntry(entity, 10, 2, 10));
    }
  }
}

which is called as

registerEntityWorldSpawn(HOP_MOB, Biomes.FOREST, Biomes.BIRCH_FOREST, Biomes.DARK_FOREST, Biomes.BIRCH_FOREST_HILLS, Biomes.DARK_FOREST_HILLS, Biomes.FLOWER_FOREST, Biomes.TALL_BIRCH_FOREST);

in a

@SubscribeEvent
public static void registerEntities(final RegistryEvent.Register<EntityType<?>> event) {}

which is itself in a

@Mod.EventBusSubscriber(bus=Mod.EventBusSubscriber.Bus.MOD)
public static class RegistryEvents{}

Within my main mod class. I know enough java to know that it isn't some basic syntax error, and anyway, when I run it I don't get any errors. The issue the mob doesn't spawn naturally at all. I can spawn it in fine with my custom spawn egg and it works perfectly, so the issue is only with natural world spawns. The method im using, as seen above, was taken from a 1.14 tutorial released July 2019, so the reason it doesn't work definitely has to do with something specific to 1.15. That's all the useful info I have, unfortunately. And if I'm wrong in any of my assumptions please let me know. Thanks!
