Are mappings privided by forge or are they supplied by mojang?

In case the mappings are supplied by forge / any other open source project: How do I contribute?
Also, wasn't there some talk about mojang wanting to open source the mappings? Whatever happened to that?
In case the mappings are supplied by mojang: Why are there so many unnamed fields?

The Questions are mutually exclusive. Only one point can be answered. ?

The mappings are provided by MCP and many are contributed by the community. You can contribute using MCPBot and its issue tracker.

Mojang did start providing mappings, but there are potential legal issues preventing Forge from using them. I believe CPW tweeted about this a while back and the Forge twitter account retweeted it.

Please don't PM me to ask for help. Asking your question in a public thread preserves it for people who are having the same problem in the future.

The settings.gradle file has been fixed. But, the build.gradle has an error now.
Error:

[SOLVED][1.21.8 | Forge 58.0.5] How to cancel InputEvent.MouseScrollingEvent?

Personally, I just use event.SetCanceled(true) in my handler and it blocks the scroll well.
Even if the method does not appear clear, it is available via the Cancellable interface.
It works at home without additional hacks.
