I am working on tile entity to store items, and so far I have it setup to open a GUI on right click, and I have code for adding a slot to the container, but it does not add the slot and I am not sure why, it looks ok to me so I am not sure what is wrong

Container Class:

TileEntity Class:

Main Class:

Thanks for the help!

Don't use IInventory, use ItemStackHandler.

I went through and the only instance of IInventory I could find was in my addPlayerSlots which I changed to PlayerInventory, but that didn't seem to help

  • Only open container GUIs on the server.
  • Currently the client-side will use this container constructor (you configure this here). You are indeed correct that this does not add any slots.

Changing the constructor to call the other constructor worked. Thank you!

I know you are supposed to make your own threads, but it feels kind of pointless since I am only asking one thing.

Because OP didn't specify the version in which he is working with, I am assuming he is working with the latest version.
Should I be using ItemStackHandler instead of IInventory too in 1.14 ?

Ever since they were introduced, which I believe was 1.12
