Posted April 22, 20205 yr I Can build my mod. i just cant do certain things like run a test enviroment or register blocks. because of missing packages and such(notably eventbus)
April 22, 20205 yr How did you set up your workspace? Some tips: Spoiler Modder Support: Spoiler 1. Do not follow tutorials on YouTube, especially TechnoVision (previously called Loremaster) and HarryTalks, due to their promotion of bad practice and usage of outdated code. 2. Always post your code. 3. Never copy and paste code. You won't learn anything from doing that. 4. Quote Programming via Eclipse's hotfixes will get you nowhere 5. Learn to use your IDE, especially the debugger. 6. Quote The "picture that's worth 1000 words" only works if there's an obvious problem or a freehand red circle around it. Support & Bug Reports: Spoiler 1. Read the EAQ before asking for help. Remember to provide the appropriate log(s). 2. Versions below 1.11 are no longer supported due to their age. Update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.
April 22, 20205 yr Author As i explained in another thread On 3/31/2020 at 7:42 PM, idontspam said: Well first i downloaded the forge mdk. next i imported the project file into IDEA. next i modified build.gradle and gradle.properties to fit my needs. and everytime i want to make a build and run it i just type "gradlew build" into the IDEA terminal and copy the jar from ./libs to /mods , and i make sure to delete previous jar version inside /mods. anyways i think this could might be useful to you but their is no net.minecraftforge.eventbus. package inside any of my _compileJava_# files
April 22, 20205 yr Quote from README.txt from Forge MDK: Quote If at any point you are missing libraries in your IDE, or you've run into problems you can run "gradlew --refresh-dependencies" to refresh the local cache. "gradlew clean" to reset everything {this does not affect your code} and then start the processs again. It's sad how much time mods spend saying "x is no longer supported on this forum. Please update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support".
April 22, 20205 yr Author I Cleaned up, refreshed dependencies generated the runs, and build the project, and i still can't find access eventbus.

Edited April 22, 20205 yr by ModMCdl Follow these rules when talking to me, and we'll get along fine. 1).I know Java fairly well. I don't know as much about modding. They are not the same, don't compare them. 2). I consider myself to always be learning. I make mistakes, you make mistakes. Who doesn't? 3). Insult me, and I will leave the thread. I have a real life, I don't have time to throw petty insults in a Minecraft Modding forum. ModMCdl - Co-Founder and Director of Design for Artemis Game Studios
