I am following along a 1.14 tutorial and I am trying to name my item to something readable.  A json validator tells me its valid format, and everything seems to be fine with names and registry names, however whenever i go into game it gives me the unlocalized name rather than the localized one.

Here is my project view and en_lang.json file.   The tutorial didnt have a pack.mcmeta, so I had to find that myself,  Not sure if that is correct or if this is what is causing the issue, but the textures and everything else works fine,  just the localized name. So i assume the pack.mcmeta is fine.

    "pack": {
        "description": "moreslabsmod resources",
        "pack_format": 4,
        "_comment": "A pack_format of 4 requires json lang files. Note: we require v4 pack meta for all mods."
    }

Are you sure that's assets/moreslabsmod and not a folder called assets.moreslabsmod

This is my Forum Signature, I am currently attempting to transform it into a small guide for fixing easier issues using spoiler blocks to keep things tidy.

As the most common issue I feel I should put this outside the main bulk:

The only official source for Forge is https://files.minecraftforge.net, and the only site I trust for getting mods is CurseForge.

If you use any site other than these, please take a look at the StopModReposts project and install their browser extension, I would also advise running a virus scan.

For players asking for assistance with Forge please expand the spoiler below and read the appropriate section(s) in its/their entirety.

Yes after realising i couldn't create packages within the resources tree, I made individual folders representing each section of the tree.. as I said, everything bar the localized name is working, textures etc

I just have the middle folders compacted  in the tree for ease of access.

Yes, that folder structure seems to be okay - it shows the breadcrumbs at the top,

I can't see at a glance why this is happening. Go through Daemon's signature and check out the log file info, that'll help us here.
