Can you provide your mod source in a GitHub repo?

This is my Forum Signature, I am currently attempting to transform it into a small guide for fixing easier issues using spoiler blocks to keep things tidy.

 

As the most common issue I feel I should put this outside the main bulk:

The only official source for Forge is https://files.minecraftforge.net, and the only site I trust for getting mods is CurseForge.

If you use any site other than these, please take a look at the StopModReposts project and install their browser extension, I would also advise running a virus scan.

Ok now I'm seeing anti-patterns

 

Get rid of ModBlock and ModItem, you shouldn't need them.

Never use @OnlyIn

There's no reason to list your items in a list initializer and then iterate the list

You're letting your blocks and items drive their own registration rather than just registering them

I believe the jumping is based on the collisionShape, not the regular shape

They will not climb if the collision shape is smaller than the Full Cube.
I tried this.

private static final VoxelShape COLLISION_SHAPE = Block.makeCuboidShape(0, 0, 0, 14, 14, 14);

public VoxelShape getCollisionShape(BlockState state, IBlockReader worldIn, BlockPos pos, ISelectionContext context) {
	return COLLISION_SHAPE;
}

 

A low value like (0,0,0,6,6,6) seems fine. But because it's lower than the model's height, the mob's legs above it are buried.

Looking at other mods, there were some that could climb and some that could not, and the cause could not be identified.
I tried putting the same value but it didn't work for my mod.


Can you think of anything that might have caused it?

I have resolved.
I just had to insert the following code in my block.

@Override
public boolean allowsMovement(BlockState state, IBlockReader worldIn, BlockPos pos, PathType type) {
	return false;
}
