I think it would be good to add an option for modifying the launcher profiles, like a dropdown for creating one, changing one, or not changing anything. It is annoying for me to have to change by one of my profiles from the forge logo and the different version back to what it was, and then have to add a new profile myself.

I feel like the work that would go into the feature is more than the effort it would save

This is my Forum Signature, I am currently attempting to transform it into a small guide for fixing easier issues using spoiler blocks to keep things tidy.

 

As the most common issue I feel I should put this outside the main bulk:

The only official source for Forge is https://files.minecraftforge.net, and the only site I trust for getting mods is CurseForge.

If you use any site other than these, please take a look at the StopModReposts project and install their browser extension, I would also advise running a virus scan.

We only edit ONE profile in the launcher, "Forge". We do not touch others. So if you want custom profile setups just use a different name.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

Then something else is going on, because that's how what our installer does.

It finds a profile with the name "Forge", creating it if it doesn't exist. And only edits that profile.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.
