Posted July 24, 201213 yr i have a question abouut optifine. in the moment im using a pc with this data in the attachement. in good times i have about 40 fps. in bad times 0-5 fps. do u think that my fps could increase after i installed optifine? i want to use the current optifine with Multi-Core Support. i hope they will increase, cuz i dont have the money right now, to buy me a new pc for it. if u need more data, leave me a reply thx Minecraft.net Username: Sailren
July 24, 201213 yr Optifine is always a great choice. If MultiCore doesn't work for you, standard at least should. I downloaded the Multicore for my Quadcore, but my game stuttered every time I broke a block. Still, it's different for everyone. Give it a shot. Again, if multicore doesn't work, give standard or smooth a shot. Check out my Texture Packs Thread here on the Forge Forum. Currently in the process of adding some mod support for JohnSmith Texture Pack. https://www.sugarsync.com/piv/D8135159_67366891_21351[/img] https://www.sugarsync.com/piv/D8135159_67366891_772852[/img]
July 24, 201213 yr Optifine multicore would likely not help well, not enough cores on your chip, I would recommend getting smooth.
July 24, 201213 yr Author this version is cool, now i have average 25 fps, maybe i get more, when my ram is free after a fresh start of my pc, but now i updated some files in the optifine post under tips and tricks, some of them go into a native folder and the rest into the bin. its this: LWJGL after i updated it, my redpower stuff were gone, do u think this stuff caused the problem? dont worry, i made a backup of the original files Minecraft.net Username: Sailren
July 24, 201213 yr Literally the only thing I know about lwjgl is that it stands for "Lightweight Java Game Library"... I couldn't tell you if it kills any mods. But programming and such is what I'm going to college for. So maybe once I learn a bit more about such things, I'll actually be able to give decent help. July 25, 201213 yr Author if it really kills mods, that could be a warning to all mc players, that think about updating LWJGL. i will try it tomorrow and give u a result, if it is or not. Edit: in NEI some items are shown as: Patch your client, what does it mean now? perhaps it is this libary? i dont hope that optifine kills my stuff since i can play mc now even with my old machine Minecraft.net Username: Sailren

July 25, 201213 yr Nah, I run with an updated LWJGL just fine. Hey Overmind... Is the newer versions of lwjgl better by any means? Would upgrading to latest be beneficial to me? July 25, 201213 yr Nah, I run with an updated LWJGL just fine. Hey Overmind... Is the newer versions of lwjgl better by any means? Would upgrading to latest be beneficial to me? Unsure about you, but on linux at least it fixes some major key freezes.
July 25, 201213 yr Author a little warning for all people on windows that thinking about updating lwjgl, be warned, that this update can break your redpower configuration, maybe some things more; anyway make a backup before u attempt to update it. i backed up my client before, now i have my redpower again cuz i reinstalled the original lwjgl.jar into the bin folder again , perhaps someone can contact the optifine creator on mcf forums, to tell him, that his tips and tricks for updating lwjgl, can break some things of the client on windows, i dont have an account right now, so i cant do it thx see this for more information about lwjgl interesting: there is nothing about the bug, that this update can break mods on the client btw: holy shit optifine rocks, after i did a fresh start of my pc, i started minecraft. now i have between 30 and 100 fps , before maybe 30 lol maximum, my fps depends on, what i'm doing, so my average fps is about 40 fps Minecraft.net Username: Sailren
July 25, 201213 yr I've updated on all of my Minecraft versions... And I have not run into any problems at all, myself. Not with Redpower or any other mods. I wonder what's different on your end? Different Minecraft setups I run: Current Vanilla, Latest Snapshot, My personal ModPack, TechnicSSP, Tekkit, and YogBox Check out my Texture Packs Thread here on the Forge Forum. July 25, 201213 yr Updating lwjgl should do nothing of the sort TIO2, it sounds like something was done wrong. They in no way touch similar code.
July 25, 201213 yr Author dunno what happened, after i installed the original lwjgl again, which i backed up before, it runs fine again Minecraft.net Username: Sailren
