Coremods folder; Adding Coremods; Treecapitator

I saw the thread about "do not create coremods folder" but my forge version (auto-install.762 for 161)

has a coremods folder and I put the treecapitator coremod in there and it works ok.

So to clarify please: should I put treecap. and others in the mods folder now?

thanks

Modern versions will only have the 'mods' folder.

like one or two builds in 1.6.1 while we were updating still make the coremods folder.

So the official answer is use the mods folder. If it doesn't work, update your Forge.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

so coremod folder is removed after 1.5.2? wonderful. that was only a complicance for people like me who makes modpacks. now i hope for a "long stable" mc version, like the 1.2.5, or, at least, updates like 1.4.6/7 which keeps compatibility between versions
