"Doctor, it hurts" Where are you downloading Forge from (please give a URL), and what browser are you using?

If Windows Explorer is set to hide file extensions you may see the installer as forge-(version)-installer and the log as forge-(version)-installer.jar, if Windows Explorer is set to show extensions you'll see the installer as forge-(version)-installer.jar and the log as forge-(version)-installer.jar.log and no, the installer log will not be in .minecraft/logs, it will be in the same folder as the installer

If the issue occurs without mods please provide a log without mods installed

This is why these tutorials are so bad, they just say "Do what I do" without telling you why, then they have you use extra things that do nothing to help you and often create issues further down the line. Cadiboo is making a text-based tutorial that in my opinion is a ton much better than most YouTube tutorials and I've only just skimmed it.

Actually the decision has been made(by CPW) that modlauncher (and by extension, Forge) will not support OpenJ9. https://github.com/cpw/modlauncher/commit/1f9473a28ad910ef42539f7f789f63afa4cdbf8d

Hold shift while right clicking the blank space and make sure you have nothing selected in that folder

Open a command prompt in that folder and run the command java -jar [Forge Installer File] > Installer.log

Click refresh in Windows Explorer...

So you've listed a mod for 1.8.9 and (presumably) a LiteLoader mod and you're trying to use them with 1.14.2 Forge. This isn't going to work.

Please provide your installer log, it will be next to the installer after you run it.
