Where did you get the installer from, can you give an exact URL?

Have you tried looking at what versions are available in the launcher?

I mean a screenshot of the client open, can you provide a screenshot of your versions list?

What launcher are you using? Please provide a screenshot.

Was that debug log uploaded or copy/pasted? It looks incomplete

Edit: I believe Windows Explorer hides file extensions by default, to make them visible click View -> File name extensions

You install Forge for 1.14.2. Do note however that mods are version-specific, mods made for Minecraft version A are not going to be compatible with Minecraft version B.
