  1. NO, if any site offers both Forge and Optifine they are illegally rehosting the files. Each Optifine version has a Changelog listed, for instance this one is for Optifine version 1.12.2 HD U E2, in this changelog it mentions "compatible with Forge #2729", this means it is compatible with the Forge version ending in 2729, which turns out to be Forge version 14.23.4.2729.
  2. If you want to run both Forge and Optifine you need to not only match the Minecraft version but also be aware of what Forge version the latest Optifine version was designed to be compatible with.
  3. Is this a laptop or a desktop?
  4. Optifine is only promised to work with a specific build of Forge, this build is stated in each Optifine version's changelog. I'll need a log of your most recent run to be of any more help (See the "Logs" section of my signature below).
  5. Then it won't work in the Twitch launcher, they use their own install location. This suggests the install failed, the launcher should not even TRY to download Forge's jar. Try to find these files and if they exist tell me their sizes: C:\Users\Claro\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\versions\forge-1.12.2-14.23.5.2775\forge-1.12.2-14.23.5.2775.json C:\Users\Claro\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\libraries\net\minecraftforge\forge\1.12.2-14.23.5.2775\forge-1.12.2-14.23.5.2775.jar
  6. Did you install Forge through Twitch or with the Forge installer?
  7. Have you tried one of the latest 1.12.2 versions?
  8. Without logs I can’t help you, if it’s a Java thing there should be a JVM crash report.
  9. We don't support 1.7.10 anymore... do you want to continue with 1.12.2 or are you going to start insisting on 1.7.10?
  10. Update BetterFoliage (Note: You will also need to install Forgelin for this later version)
  11. You can't play mix and match with mod and Minecraft versions.
  12. Each Forge version only works on one version of Minecraft. At this time there are no Forge versions for any 1.13 version, though they are in development.
  13. I see this list of Mod Requirements: Chief among these is that I don't see Botania mentioned as present in the log and I notice that your Forge version is also VERY out of date.
  14. What does it say when you run gradlew setupDecompWorkspace --stacktrace?
  15. Could you open a command prompt and show me the output of java -version as well as javac -version?
  16. We do not provide support for versions that old. If you want to get support here, use a modern version. If you want to make a mod for 1.8.9 or anything earlier than 1.11, you'll have to go somewhere else for support.
  17. Did the launcher say anything when the game crashed or did it just close with no message?
  18. The only thing unusual about that log is the abrupt end. Were there any strange text files either in the .minecraft folder or on your desktop?
  19. No no no, do not modify the vanilla jar. Just run the Forge jar like you would the vanilla server jar, it will load the vanilla jar into memory and do all of its changes in RAM before the server starts.
  20. Try making sure all your mods are up to date. May I ask where you're getting your mods?
  21. 1.7.10 is no longer supported on this forum due to its age. Please update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.
  22. Modern versions, at this time 1.11.X and later
