  1. Seems more like to me that the texturs are not coreated properly for the hd textures. It would be up to the texture pack maker/the mod author to create said textures. The fact that vanilla's compass works fine is evidence to the fact that it's not a Forge issue. Tell those mod authors to test themselves on higher texture packs and come to us when they actually know whats going on. As I doubt it's Forge's code.
  2. https://github.com/MinecraftForge/MinecraftForge/commit/571e441502ce800262c5ca9d427ad9c7332c3fa1 And with that I say fuck off and report a problem correctly. Twitter and other shit is NOT the place to report bugs and will do nothing more then annoy and piss people off. Aside from that, having a more reliable way to test things would be nice as it's not reproducible with your steps.
  3. The javadocs are generated from the decompiled source nothing special. If you have the arc install you have the javadocs. There has been a small hickup related to moving that paticular feature tot he new server, It'll be brought back eventually but for the most part people dont need it and there are way to get what they need.
  4. [lmgtfy]How to run a jar file[/lmgtfy] or jarfix. Please do some searching before posting.
  5. Sadly, python has issues with determining and working with unicode paths. I've been working on it but can't find a reliable way to deal with paths like that. If you're able to find out any information that would be great but for now, having unicode in the path, isn't supported.
  6. [lmgtfy]How to run a jar file[/lmgtfy] [lmgtfy]jarfix[/lmgtfy]
  7. Speak with the magic launcher author. Not our issue hes not respecting the versions json.
  8. 2013-08-06 12:53:35 [sTDERR] Caused by: java.lang.NoSuchFieldError: hasForge 2013-08-06 12:53:35 [sTDERR] at lotr.compatibility.LOTRShapedRecipeHandler.loadCraftingRecipes(LOTRShapedRecipeHandler.java:203) Seems to be theres an issue in your LOTR mod.
  9. Interesting do you have access to the internet on that computer? It can't download any of the libraries... You could try launching the installer from the command line to see if ti prints anything to the console {when in the same dir run java -jar forge-installer.jar}
  10. ... There is nothing about tool bars or extra virus protection with our installer. Thats the only image you should see. As for your power outage, I advise you do a checkdisk on your computer and see if anything got corrupt on your drive.
  11. The other parts of the version number are designed to reflect important information: ForgeVersion.java Aside from that, you can access the json api we expose here.
  12. It's documented in the installer code, just follow what it does manually. https://github.com/MinecraftForge/Installer
  13. Stay on these forums, or minecraftforums.net, or CurseForge Anything like 6minecraft.net or minecraftdl.com are bad, don't trust them.

I recently went on 'vacation' with a few fellow modders to SOE Live. One of the cool things that was announced was the up and coming game EverQuest Next/EverQuest Next: Landmark. Even met the curse people. Check out my ugly ass: Looks like a promising game, everyone should try and sign up for the beta.
  15. We are no computer tutorials 101.. Please learn how to use your computer.
  16. Ya.. that doesn't run the file in the MCp directory. That runs it in whatever directory your terminal is in You're gunna have the use the cd to go into the mcp directory.
  17. .... You need to know the basic of your computer and how things work before writing mods... And by from the folder I dont mean double click it because macs are stupid and dont actually run scripts in the folder there being loaded I mean have your terminal in the folder. Seriously.. How did you run install...
  18. you're trying to run a bat file on macs... what... ... How are you running the .sh you need to be in your mcp folder.
  19. 789 Is not the latest nore the recomended Update.
  20. DavyDawg123 has been banned for failure to follow directions and being a complete waist of my time.
  21. Ya i was on my phone and didnt watch it, that video is stupid. Seriously Run the installer Run the 'Forge' profile in the launcher Done
  22. 1) You need to run jarfix as admin like it says 2) The fuck are you doing with selecting what program to run it with? Should just double click to run for it. When you select to 'Run with Java Platform SE binary' it's probabyl executing 'java {path to jar}' Which isn't how you run it. You should be able to just double click the jar and it'll run. Not sure the hell you're doing to make it ask you how you wanna open it. 3) If that doesn't work and you're still not able to figure it out. Hold shift, right click a empty space in that folder. Select 'Open command window here' And then run 'java -jar minecraftforge-installer-1.6.2-9.10.0.804.jar' If that STILL doesn't work then you've screwed something up and should make another video.
